Os Jogos Mundiais Militares de 2011, oficialmente denominados V Jogos Mundiais Militares do CISM (Conseil International du Sport Militaire), foi um evento multi-esportivo militar realizado entre 16 e 24 de julho de 2011, no Rio de Janeiro – Brasil.
The 2011 Military World Games, officially designated as the CISM (Conseil International du Sport Militaire) 5th Military World Games, was a multisport military event that took place from the 16th to the 24th day of July of 2011, on Rio de Janeiro – Brazil.
Durante os nove dias de competição, mais de 5.650 atletas de 88 países competiram em 20 modalidades esportivas. O Brasil foi representado por 268 atletas em todas as modalidades.
During the nine days of competition, more than 5.650 athletes from 88 countries competed in 20 sport modalities. Brazil was represented by 268 athletes in all areas.
Foi a primeira vez que este tipo de evento aconteceu em um país do continente americano. Os Jogos Militares são o quarto maior evento multi-esportivo do mundo, perdendo apenas para os Jogos Olímpicos, Jogos Paraolímpicos e a Universíada.
It was the first time that this type of event happened in a country on the American continent. The Military Games are the 4th biggest multisport event of the world, only staying behind the Olympic Games, Paralympic games and the Universiade.
Além de outros acontecimentos ocorridos em função deste evento maior, a Seção de Assuntos Civis do CCOPAB (Centro Conjunto de Operações de Paz do Brasil) em coordenação com a Divisão de Doutrina da ECEME (Escola de Comando e Estado Maior do Exército) conduziram o Seminário: Esporte, Desenvolvimento e Paz durante os dias 17 e 18. O Seminário contou com a presença do Coronel Kalkaba – Presidente do CISM (Conseil International du Sport Militaire), Sr. Edson Arantes do Nascimento – Rei Pelé, Almirante Gamboa – Presidente da CDMB (Comissão Desportiva Militar do Brasil) e General Sérgio – Comandante da ECEME (Escola de Comando e Estado Maior do Exército), entre outras autoridades.
Besides other occurences that happened because of this bigger event, the "Civil Affairs Section" of the CCOPAB ("Joint Centre of Peace Operaations of Brazil") coordinated with the Doctrine Division of the ECEME ("School of Command and Genral Staff of the Army") conducted the Seminar: Sports, Development and Peace during the 17th and 18th. The Seminar reckon on the presence of Colonel Kalkaba – President of the CISM (Conseil International du Sport Militaire), Mr. Edson Arantes do Nascimento – "King" Pelé, Admiral Gamboa – President of the CDMB (Military Sports Comission of do Brasil) and General Sérgio – Commander of the ECEME (Escola de Comando e Estado Maior do Exército), amog other authorities.
Neste contexto, Mestre Leo Imamura, auxiliado pelo Mestre Fabio Gomes, foi convidado pelo Coronel Pessôa, então Comandante do CCOPAB (Centro Conjunto de Operações de Paz do Brasil), a ser um dos palestrantes do Seminário, representando a Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence.
In this context, Mestre Leo Imamura, assisted by Mestre Fabio Gomes, was invited by Colonel Pessôa, the then Commander of the CCOPAB ("Joint Centre of Peace Operaations of Brazil"), to be one of the panelists of the seminar, representing the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence.
Na oportunidade, Mestre Leo Imamura fala sobre os aspectos da feminilização da guerra na educação tutorial e a importância da criação de ambiência para proporcionar o aprendizado. Além disso, comentou sobre os trabalhados realizados pela Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence junto a instituições como: USP (Universidade de São Paulo), que utiliza o Ving Tsun ( Wing Chun ) como disciplina oficial; A Universidade Gama Filho, que instituiu o primeiro curso de pós-graduação em Artes Marciais e o 1º Congresso de Conciliação: "Guerra e Paz", no Tribunal de Justiça do Estado de Minas Gerais.
In the given opportunity, Mestre Leo Imamura speaks about the aspects of the feminization of war in the tutorial education and the importance of the establishment of ambience to provide learning. Besides it, he spoke of the works done by the Moy Yat Ving Tsun Martial Intelligence alongside othe institutions such as: USP ("University of São Paulo"), which has Ving Tsun ( Wing Chun ) as an official subject; the Universidade Gama Filho, which institutes the first Martial Arts postgraduate course and the 1st Conciliation Congress: "War and Peace", in the Court of Justice of the Minas Gerais State.
